I entered 10 photos into the 2016 Marion County/Iowa State University Photo Contest this past June. I just received word that these photos won ribbons for 1st Place, 2nd Place and 3rd Place respectively in the Adult Wildlife category and will be featured in their 2017 calendar. There are just no words....

This photo of two, mature bald eagles in aerial combat over breakfast (fish) was taken this past January on the Des Moines River. I placed it into a national photo contest for pro's and amateur's. I received notification that it placed in the Top 10% most voted, ahead of 57,523 entries....not bad for freezing in 20deg weather for 2hrs to get this shot, LOL!!
